UNLV

Wednesday before Thanksgiving we went to the UNLV game vs. Louisville and lost, but it was fun to be there with our boys. Neither Krew or Matix have missed a home game since they were born and Nixon is on the same path. Sorry Boys! I should probably save the apology for their future spouses- They are going to be addicted to sports.

Here are the three Rebel fans
Matix is chanting "Rebels" with the hammer motion.

Kitchen Chair Make Over

I have washed and washed our kitchen chairs- white is difficult for a table with kids. I ran by the fabric store and found some fabric that was a good color and transformed our chairs. I would like to find a print in the future, but this was a quick fix

Krew's Thanksgivng Party

I went into Krew's class room at school to help with their Thanksgiving Party. The kids were adorable- they had little hats and brown bag vests on. Krew was so excited that I was coming to his school to help. He kept reminding his teacher that I was coming in to help.

The tables were set with little pine cone turkeys and fall leaf place mats that the kids painted.
Goofy Krew! Eating a traditional Thanksgiving feast- Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes & gravy, broccoli and cranberry sauce. Followed with ice cream, apple & pumpkin pie! Krew loved the ham, cranberry sauce & pumpkin pie.

Mom, Krew & baby Nixon tucked in together.

Horse Show

A few weeks ago I went to California for the weekend with my mom- She was doing a dressage competition. She did awesome! It was fun to see this side of her and also see a new hobby. I would love to start riding some time soon.
This is my mom with her horse- Rudy

Downward Spiral

I just noticed that so far this month- which is almost over- I have hardly posted! That will be improved soon. Life has been crazy & busy.

Here's a GROSS example of what we've been up to

These types of days are fun- especially with two other boys helping me clean this mess in the parking lot at the park with minimal resources. Not one of our better mornings.

Muscle Man

Garrett is the 4th guy in from the left
My younger bro did a competition this weekend and kicked some butt. I figured I couldn't say "my little" brother- he is definitely bigger than me. He is only 19 and a personal trainer! Nate passed on watching a bunch of guys strut their stuff in little speedos but I found the event to be amusing.
Garrett you rock!

Tag. . . I'm it!

This is a different tag, so here are the rules:
A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player lists 6 little-known facts/habits about themselves.C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

1. I would love to go back to school and get a Nutriton Degree then a personal training license.
2. I wouldn't mind having only boys- it makes things easy with one gender; until I go shopping and see cute girl things!
3. I am a magazine junkie! Magazines are a quick and mindless read. They are my reward in a bubble bath when I need a break.
4. I look forward to spending time with my husband & boys at every UNLV basketball game.
5. Tarts from Whole Foods are my guilty indulgence when I go grocery shopping.
6. Someday in the future I hope to record a Harp CD- probably of my favorite church songs.

I tag...
1. Alison Carter
2. Christina Dickerson
3. Rachel McEwen
4. Kristin Steele
5. Ashley Stout
6. Alison Tolbert
Sorry girls! Now I can get to know a little more about you.

Present & Future Firefighters

Saturday night we went to Luv-it Custard and as usually there was excitement. We love going there (Las Vegas Boulevard & Oakey- Next to a strip club) there is always something happening- fights or "shift change" or police, ambulance or firefighters show up to get ice cream. Krew asked them if he could see there truck. They were so nice and gave our boys the whole tour! Krew told us that when he grows up he wants to be a firefighter. Then he asked Nate if he wanted to be a firefighter when he grows up. It made Krew's day!

Time Out!

Mr. Matix is our cute little boy who likes to test Nate and I daily with our patience and brain power. He is one stubborn and smart little boy.

This is Matix in time out in a parking lot!

I pulled over after he threw a major tantrum and unbuckled himself. I felt badly, but I put him in time out on the curb and watched him until he was done crying.
He just walked up to the computer and pointed at it say "crying . . . not funny." So he obviously remembers the situation.
