We got a bonfire going a few nights back with the Neffs. The kids had so much fun. We roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. Toward the end of the night I realized I had been spelling this foul odor but just thought that it was because the fire pit was new. Then I thought about feeling the ground under the pit to see how hot it had gotten. It felt bubbly & hot. Nate accidentally forgot to read the warnings about where to best place the fire pit before use- not wood, plastic, etc. We melted a round spot under our artificial plastic grass in our backyard!

Thanks again for the invite. We had so much fun, we'll have to do it again some time. Sorry about the grass, next time we'll be sure to read the warning label. Haha!
